Erin Fant, Esq.

Erin Haney Fant is an Associate Attorney at For Purpose Law Group, where she works closely with nonprofit organizations and mission-driven businesses to effectively further their missions. Erin partners with these critical organizations to ensure that anything they might need—from formation to compliance and governance matters to dissolution (and everything in between)—is done with care, expertise, and a shared passion for making a difference.

Prior to joining FPLG, Erin worked as an Associate Attorney in the Tax group of a large, international law firm, where she advised clients on tax issues pertinent to mergers and acquisitions, renewable energy projects, and public offerings. Before entering the legal profession, she worked in the non-profit space, helping organizations raise funds, plan events, and engage more fully with the communities they serve. Erin’s experience working directly for nonprofits coupled with her experience of advising large corporate clients uniquely situates her to help nonprofit and charitable organizations navigate complex issues.

A lifelong Texan, Erin earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Texas at Austin, and she obtained her undergraduate degree from Rice University, where she double majored in Psychology and Sport Management. She is admitted to practice in Texas. While Texas has always been home, Erin loves to travel, and she was lucky enough to spend a full academic year during undergrad studying at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland and a semester during law school studying at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark.
