Online-Fundraising Ethics and the GoFundMe Scandal

As a Law Clerk at For Purpose Law Group, Harrison Hall brings a researcher's curiosity and a builder's energy to the firm's work on behalf of nonprofit and social enterprise clients. He spends his days digging into tax and corporate law questions that keep FPLG's attorneys moving with confidence, and he's one of the driving forces behind the AI tools and workflows shaping how the firm works.
Harrison is currently a J.D. candidate at Seattle University School of Law, where he's a Washington State Law Scholars merit scholarship recipient and a member of the Seattle Journal of Technology, Environmental & Innovation Law. His fascination with privacy and technology law took root during a legal externship with ClassDojo, where he audited data practices against COPPA, FERPA, GDPR, and CCPA and helped the company get ahead of a wave of new state age-assurance laws. Before that, he cut his teeth at a small firm in Seattle, drafting agreements and privacy policies while keeping the firm's marketing and day-to-day operations running smoothly. And before law school even entered the picture, Harrison earned a B.A. in Communication with a minor in Marketing from the University of Wyoming, debating his way through undergrad on a full-ride scholarship.
At FPLG, Harrison is known for his sharp research instincts and his genuine enthusiasm for finding better, smarter ways of working, whether that means untangling a tricky tax question or dreaming up the firm's next AI-powered workflow. He brings the same curiosity and rigor to both.
Outside the office, Harrison coaches debate for two Seattle-area high schools and volunteers with OptInspire's scam-prevention efforts, proof that his instinct to protect people extends well beyond client work.
