Emma Tisdale is an Associate Attorney with For Purpose Law Group, where she advises nonprofit organizations and other tax-exempt entities on a wide range of legal matters. Licensed to practice in both Virginia and North Carolina, Emma brings extensive experience in corporate formation and governance, nonprofit compliance, and complex transactional matters.

Before joining FPLG, Ms. Tisdale was an associate attorney with McCormick Law & Consulting, where she worked closely with nonprofit organizations and other mission-driven entities on issues related to organizational development and operational oversight. Her practice also included a broad range of transactional work, including mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, and intellectual property filings. Ms. Tisdale also previously worked as a staff attorney with Legal Aid of North Carolina, advocating for low-income clients in matters related to housing, domestic violence, and consumer protection.

Ms. Tisdale is passionate about supporting organizations that serve the public good. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring coastal Virginia with her family.
