Linda Bowers

Nonprofit Accountant

As a trusted nonprofit accountant with For Purpose Accounting (FPA), Linda Bowers delivers more than just clean books and reconciled accounts—she brings confidence, clarity, and connection to the financial side of nonprofit leadership. With over 30 years of experience supporting mission-driven organizations and small businesses, Linda is deeply committed to helping changemakers build strong, sustainable operations.

FPA is the partner firm to For Purpose Law Group (FPLG), and Linda’s role sits at the intersection of where numbers meet nuance. Together, our legal and accounting teams provide nonprofits with the fully integrated support they need to lead with confidence—from 501(c)(3) compliance and governance to budgeting, audits, and tax filings. Linda plays a key part in that vision, offering practical, personalized accounting services that align with each client’s goals and mission.

Linda holds a degree in Economics from Princeton University and a Master’s in Sports Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University, where she focused on nonprofit operations. After launching her own successful bookkeeping business in 2006, she became a go-to financial partner for organizations navigating growth, leadership transitions, and regulatory complexity. Her specialty lies in making the numbers make sense—so nonprofit leaders can focus on the mission, not the math.

In her role, Linda supports clients with ongoing bookkeeping, tax preparation, and financial reporting. Whether she’s responding to a last-minute QuickBooks question, preparing documentation for an audit, or guiding a team through their first budget review, she approaches every task with steadiness, clarity, and genuine care.

Based in Dallas, Linda loves spending time with her family and friends, getting outdoors for a round of golf or a tennis match, and cheering on her favorite teams. Above all, she loves supporting the people behind the causes—and helping them feel less alone in the process.
