Linda J. Rosenthal, JD

Director of Information & Research

Linda Rosenthal is FPLG’s resident research powerhouse and the voice behind many of the firm’s most insightful educational resources. As Director of Information & Research, she blends decades of legal experience with a passion for making complex nonprofit law accessible, clear, and—dare we say—interesting.

Linda began her career in the Exempt Organizations Division of the IRS, after earning her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and clerking at the United States Tax Court. From there, she worked in both private practice and as a solo attorney, but it was research and writing—especially within nonprofit law—that truly captured her heart.

For over 30 years, Linda has supported attorneys and firms nationwide with litigation and transactional research across a wide range of civil law areas. She has also spent time mentoring lawyers, paralegals, and law students in the art of legal writing.

Today at FPLG, Linda leads the firm’s thought leadership efforts through the widely respected FPLG Insights Blog. Her writing has become a trusted resource across the nonprofit sector—regularly cited, shared, and relied upon by nonprofit leaders, attorneys, and exempt organizations nationwide. Through her work, Linda continues to shape the conversation around nonprofit law, offering critical clarity and guidance to the organizations driving change in their communities.
