A drastically new (and much less favorable) reality is now clearly in the cards for the charitable nonprofit sector for 2025 and perhaps much longer.

Experts are generously offering online their wisdom and guidance even as the situation on the ground changes rapidly. Our two most recent posts – New Nonprofit Finance Fund Survey (July 1, 2025) FPLG Blog and More Free Educational Resources for Nonprofits (July 8, 2025) FPLG Blog – mention a few examples.

Every day my email inbox swells with more and more links to explore from trusted sources.

Candid Learning

Just yesterday, Candid Learning announced its latest rapid-response advice in this challenging environment.

About a year ago, in Candid Learning’s Newest Free Offerings for Nonprofits (May 1, 2024) FPLG Blog, we told you about the valuable guidance available through Candid Learning, and its plans to revamp and update its offerings.

On July 10, 2025, Candid Learning sent an email inviting the charitable community to “get data and resources on nonprofit funding now. To help … navigate looming federal funding cuts and an uncertain economy, we’ve pulled together our top articles and resources on nonprofit funding—all in one place. Dig into the data on how long nonprofits can survive without government grants, explore where foundation grant dollars flow by state and subject area, and get advice on how to secure flexible, multiyear funding.”

Clicking on the “Explore” button leads to a table of contents under three headings: Data Dashboards on Tableau; Insights on funding to nonprofits; and Nonprofit Resources.

Conclusion

In addition to this special announcement about the newest data and resources recommendations, take a look more generally at Candid Learning’s “new look. Find the same great resources and look forward to more on-demand courses, videos, and new training opportunities coming soon.”

In particular, go to “Candid insights: The big picture of the social sector, backed by data and expertise.” Among interesting recent posts in the “Tips & Training” category is What to know about seeking corporate support right now (July 7, 2025) David M. Holmes, Educational Programming Manager, Candid, blog.candid.org. In the “Trends & Issues” section, see for example: Adaptive funder strategies for supporting nonprofits in 2025 amid funding uncertainty (June 18, 2025) Elizabeth Wong, Head of Philanthropic Advisory Services, Foundation Source, blog.candid,org.
