“I joined FPLG, inspired by the words of Ruth Bader Ginsburg – ‘Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.’ As nonprofits, many of our clients operate under this philosophy on a daily basis. Through my representation, I hope my work likewise encourages others to advocate for these organizations and the work they do.”
Matthew Learned serves as chair of FPLG’s Litigation Practice Group, leading a dedicated team of legal professionals in the representation of the firm’s nonprofit and business clients.
Mr. Learned began his legal career “in-house” for an independent record label, before transitioning into civil litigation. His diverse civil litigation experience over more than a decade includes taking complicated cases through trial and appeal, with both the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and the California Court of Appeals.
Over the course of his legal practice, Mr. Learned has assisted individuals enforce their statutory rights as members of nonprofit organizations, boards of directors navigate internal disputes, and organizations deal with employment actions, contract disputes, and trademark infringement matters.
